Seem there are issuing the first ever F1 Heat Hazard alert. Does that mean Virtual Safety Cars or even red flags if it gets too hot. Maybe they could just put a fire truck at Start Finish and hose off the drivers as the cars go by. Certainly there must be better times of the year to run a race here.
Heat Alert is an F1 FIA procedure: The ambient temperature is expected to reach 31C on both Saturday and Sunday, which is the FIA's threshold for declaring a Heat Hazard. Race director Rui Marques notified the teams of this on Thursday. Now the teams have two options: either their drivers must wear the mandatory cooling vests or their cars must carry more ballast. Whether the drivers elect to use the vests or not, the rules state that their cars must be fitted with the necessary equipment to make the vests work – specifically the pumps, coolant reservoir and heat exchanger. Any driver then choosing not to wear a vest must carry additional ballast. The rules on this are clear: "The difference in mass between the driver's personal equipment normally used and any items of a driver's personal equipment that form part of the system must be compensated by the fitting of 0.5kg of ballast in the cockpit."

So, together the pumps, coolant reservoir (with dry ice) and heat exchanger weight 5 kg, NOT 0.5 kg !
Russell lol. Mclaren turned it up. Ferrari should be strong maybe. LH is and Im sure Charles can find more time.
Ferrari has been fined for Charles Leclerc’s pitlane collision with Lando Norris in Friday practice at the Singapore Grand Prix. An increased €10,000 fine has been handed down by the stewards after Ferrari was deemed guilty of unsafely releasing Leclerc into Norris’s path in the final quarter of FP2 as the session was about to resume following a red flag.
Hard to know where the teams are actually at, after FP1 and 2. Nothing seemed that exciting...Alonzo looked good...for awhile but that seems to happen now and then with AM. Piastri seems back on form, as does Verstappen...and Norris is hanging on, but I don't sense any dominance from him. Ferrari is struggling to stay out of the mid-field...and Hadjar and Sainz look ready to make the weekend hard for Lewis and Charles. It is an ongoing contest between Vegas and Singapore for who is the most garish and uses the most lightbulbs.
Ferrari just needs to sell a few more Dozen T-shirts to pay for the fine.... I am glad the FIA did not penalise Charles...it would not shock at all if they had done that, in ligth of the crazy FIA regulations in place nowadyas
Lil Lewee is such a complacent useless a.s, his block on Oscar's at 15: left in p1--Oscar's response Ferrari will invent mirrors some time... but Lewee is so brain dead now it's become his daily style his best selling Ferrari T shirt: i earned the right to the line on my slow laps
