Fear Uncertainty and Doubt. FUD. It's why the hybrids have poor resale value. This will change when the market realizes this is BS. It may take a while.

 

The battery pack is replaceable. Where’s the concern? OEM replacement cost in 8-10 years will not be obscene in my opinion. Aftermarket packs or 3rd party refurbishments probably available by then also.

 

Hybrid thing can we move on - 10 years of hybrids with Ferrari.
Ferrari simply raised prices to high SF90 296 - marketing screwed up not engineering.
If hybrid was the issue 918 LaF and P1 would suffer - fast forward XX Is doing well and VS will too
Just ordered 911 turbo cab hybrid - GT2RS hybrid - hybrid is here to stay!

You all complained about haptics - they fixed that, why I have no idea and shocked if no one placed an order because of it.

you can't compare the market reasoning of exclusive hypercars to ordinary cars

the new 911 turbo and gt2rs are going to be absolute monsters and I quite fancy one myself, but I'm expecting to lose a ton of money if so

 

The option isn't in the configurator yet but it should be added at some point - one of the launch cars (the Rosso Scud SpecA I think) was specced with a black exhaust tip.

 

I was able to choose Matt black exhaust. Approx $1,600.

 

I didn't compare - said it's not b/c of hybrid or haptic bs
They said the same about chrome to plastic bumpers / Manuals to F1 / NA to Turbo / Turbo to hybrid
My FF was 426k sold it two years later 145k - close to same on 612
My 16M dropped 135k off msrp year two - I bought it used. again nothing to do with anything just a reflection of the market at the time.
My point is Ferrari's have always lost money - nothing to do with HYBRID.
The LE's newsflash - the only way to get one is buy the ones that depreciate - this has been going on for decades.

The ones complain about hybrid haven't bought a new hybrid Ferrari - they also didn't buy a Roma 812 either - they just complain to complain. Maybe a few do buy them used when they depreciate - but they don't get a shot at LE's - last I checked this thread was VS not BS

There is a cult of Ferrari haters - not just here, all over the internet. Again this is not news - it's been going on forever - even the 599GTO deprecated before it appreciated.

Let me know if you get a 911 turbo or GT2RS - I will buy either at msrp.
Lose a ton of money - on a 911 GT2RS ... please dude there is a wait list that is blocks long and delvers are asking ADM ... a LOT of ADM

 

Went to my spec session today, dealer configurator now showing a steering wheel with 'conventional' i.e. physical start button. Very excited!

 

Give it a break , the global data on Hybrids blows your unfounded reliability concerns out of the water . The battery used by Ferrari is Korean from SK On they supply Hyundai, Kia, Ford, and a recent battery deal was signed with Nissan. The technology is more than proven

 

So jealous of everyone who got a Speciale allocation.. I have a 296 GTB and still have no luck being able to get an allocation sad to say.

 

Speciale will be great, but that’s because it’s built off of something already great. Dude, you have a 296. That’s awesome.

 

It is awesome, but a Speciale would check every box for me and If I could get an allocation, ill have a few years of enjoyment of my gtb anyways before it would get built. If anyone knows of dealers offering some, please dont hesitate to let me know!

You could always get one in the after market sooner than you would if you were getting in the back of the line now.

I love my hybrids, I was just pointing out that no-hybrids of same model can be very performant.

 

I mean a turbo, I don't have enough buying history for a GT2 - I know i'll lose a ton of money on it but i'm basically looking at it as a nice treat and a "one for all" car that i'll keep for quite awhile

 

Turbos don't lose too much, they aren't super easy to get like. a std 911.

 

Really love my GTS, will be keeping it for along as I can until my (other) Speciale arrives!
