Is that because we're the proverbial "windshield" and the comments/commentors are the "bugs"? Too harsh?
Are you familiar with the provetb, "Sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug?" @simon klein? Atrribute it to whomever you like. Thiugh not sure if Mark Twain was familiar with high speed windshields in his day.
