Congratulations on your 296. Most don't want hybrid F cars. Look at wall Street reaction, down 15 %.

I saw that and I am kind of in the "meh" camp. I have a 458 because its got a big loud V8. I love the noise it makes. Electrics just dont do that. On top of that, I live a very big state, and the electrics still don't have the long distance range to get me down to visit my dad and back without a recharge, and there isnt much in the way of infrastructure out there still. So, not much interest from me to be honest.

Every single Ferrari EV will be sold. Most likely because it will be a requirement for the next VS, but hey a sale is a sale

Seriously though, if its how the V12 stays alive, then the 12Cilindri VS guys can buy it happily.

IMO, the EV is simply an abomination, a disrespect to Ferrari legacy and heritage.
    As for hybrids, it depends...
    Turbohybrids aren't my thing.
But if a N/A engine is combined with a slightly lighter hybrid system (even better if it's a KERS), it would be excellent.
It's practically certain that the next F1 engine cycle (2031 onwards) will be N/A V8 with an energy recovery system.
Ferrari was among those advocating for bringing this change forward to 2029 or 2030.
Ferrari also said at today's event that it "will continue to follow the racing direction in the development of road cars."

But IS it more performance? It is faster in a straight line for a few minutes until the batteries go flat. It helps in curves for a few minutes until again the batteries go flat. But then you have alot of extra weight to deal with, with added stress everywhere from braking to suspension.

I guess they will sell out like usual.....but you know what isn't usual? The depreciation of SF90s and 296s, geez welcome to McLaren country.

EV Ferraris will wind up bricked on the secondary market too much of a PITA to cost effectively service.

No way I want either an EV or hybrid version. Just another appliance. If I need one I’ll buy the cheapest disposable EV.

EV absolutely not and in my view a bad product idea. One four door I can stomach, a second pure EV is a step too far.

Thankfully the brand is so desired, people are still buying them new. I personally could not imagine not wanting a Ferrari that wasn’t inspired by Enzo or at the minimum being pushed by a Dino motor inspired by his son. Thankfully, the brand is now so exclusive and desired due to the previous ICE generations, people buy these hybrid and electric versions that I consider junk. If you care about track times and speed, get a high end Porsche 911 variant. If you want passion and style, Ferrari is the winner. Ferrari is evolving into a market share automaker which I don’t blame them for doing. The real era of Ferrari are the analog years. You rich boys better start buying them up soon because the rise especially the early 2000 generation cars will rise soon. 2007 was the last F1 championship which was the wind down and peak of a glorious era.

Correct and brands like BMW are cutting back EV production in 2026 due to the inability for both the manufacturer and dealers to make any type profits on any of their EV models. Essentially, financing and warranty products are your only chance of making a profit at the dealer level on EV’s.

Enzo is reported to say “We sell engines and give away cars.”
I expect he would not care for electric vehicles.

The one thing that I think hybrids are great for is exiting the neighborhood without disturbing everyone. You simply cannot do that with an ICE car.

Torque is great too. The power delivery is very linear. Electric engine helps with braking as well.

Lumping EV and Hybrid in same category seems a little silly to me. Not the same. I’ve been quite impressed with our 296GTS. :)
