Advice Needed: 458 v 488 v 650s v 720s

This car is really divisive. People either love it or hate the driving experience. I like them. A lot of people on here that I really respect and share similar opinions on cars do not like the Huracan at all, which goes to show you need to drive everything you are interested in.

Tecnica and Performante are really cool imo. The sound is incredible and they look amazing. @RoyalPink has an absolutely incredible Perf.

600LT is another cool shout. Lots of cool cars out there man I’ll tell you that. I love cars. It’s really hard for me to say anything but the 296 GTB right now for the money though. You are also getting a warranty for around 300 and none of the other cars are getting that

 

yes lots of fun cars out there. I do like how different they all are. Would love a 720s at some point just for the sheer performance.

The Huracan Evo is just as good as the perf and technica from a sound and performance perspective. And that’s just stock exhaust. If sound is important to you there is nothing better. The f355 comes close.

 

Let me throw yet another monkey wrench into the works: 570S. Not as exotic as the 720S nor as quick as the 600LT, but still better handling than the 458 due to its light weight. Only ever had one reliability problem: seat module quit. Other than that pretty reliable. Doesn't have the same luxury feel because they use Alcantra rather than leather to save weight.
But think also about the comfort: 458 is much better.

As far as sound: I find the 570S just as good as the 458, in spite of the twin turbos

 

720 is flat out faster than a 488 in all scenarios from drags to road course. I never could get a McLaren as they are small interiors and getting my 6'5" frame into one is damn near impossible. Lucky you ...you can fit into any sports/exotic car!

 

I have an EVO. Great car. Other than the sound and the pull its not that visceral. The complete lack of steering feel is the weakest point. I went on a road trip with the EVO and the 458 with three friends and we all swapped out driving and they all preferred the 458. The EVO draws MUCH more attention though and that's a big part of the fun.

 

Besides the good looks, it also draws a lot of attention because you can hear it from two blocks away, haha.

 

I find the handling of the 488 and the Evo about equal, at least on twisty mountain roads. I will say the steering feels much better with the ps4s tires rather than the p zeros.
