Now this is a great, thought provoking suggestion. Am I invested in, paid for or compromised? Do I work for EAG (or another three letter agency)? Please like, subscribe and leave your comments below.

Does Bill’s converted 599 have stolen parts from other cars?

I haven't actually seen a 360/430 gearbox gear selector from EAG until now. What the ****. The part that actually moves the gears isn't even close to rectangular like it should be for the slot. The bottom spring looks like it's about to let go and will have nowhere to fall except in the transmission, and speaking of springs, why the hell would you put them there when they could fall in the transmission? Was that a cheap alternative to not having to put springs in the shifter? Yeeesh.

Can you post the OEM shifter too?

Here is a used oem one. They wore very differently. I've had several oem ones in my possession and none looked as bad as the eag one.

No kidding? I guess I stand corrected on the spring part then. Still even for oem seems like a bad spot to put springs. At least they made proper mounting points on the housing instead of just drilling a hole.

Really interesting. Both OEM parts look way more solid than the tin can you posted originally!

Can you find one that shows the Scud shifter? I think the picture you had of EAG's was a Scud shifter. The Scud shifter I believe has those little slices carved out of them and its why the Scud shifts faster.

I stand corrected again. That being said, the metal rectangle that actually selects the gear looks still looks absolutely mauled
