Hi all, Does anyone know who originally supplied the p-clips for Ferrari during the Boxer era? Mine are not marked, and I've not really found replacements with similar characteristics. Eg, mine are 16mm wide, with a mix of M6 and M8 holes. The M6 variants are ~1.5mm thick, and the M8 variants are ~2mm thick. Most that I've found (Norma, Mikalor, and some others) are thinner (albeit reinforced at the eyes). I either find them in 15mm (with M6 holes) or 20mm widths (with M8 holes). I could probably go with the Norma or Mikalor and be fine, but I'd ideally get the same ones used at the time. Or I guess I could try ordering from places like Maranello Classic Parts, but I'm not sure those are accurate either (although the pictures look correct). Robert, did you look at Belmetric? I have been using their similar M20 and M22 EPDM DIN 3016 clamps but in stainless not yellow plated. EDoug
They're used in a handful of places. Mostly for floating wires and pipes. Eg, keeping coolant pipes from rubbing / banging around, and keeping wires for sitting on hot engines. You see them on the bell housing for the spark plug wires and under the BBi manifolds. You see them in the front radiator pipes as they snake around the frame. I think they are all yellow zinc, all 16mm wide, and either M6 or M8 holes (various clamp diameters). I haven't been able to find 100% copies. M8 clamps are usually 20mm wide, and M6 clamps being 15mm wide. Usually much more thin. The lack of yellow zinc is somewhat expected these days. I did. They actually sell Norma p-clips in W5 (stainless). Belmetric is convenient, but Norma offers a lot more sizes, and in zinc plated steel. You just need to find a supplier (you can get some on ebay). Eg, "19/15 W1" would be a 19mm diameter, with a 15mm width, in zinc plated steel, and an M6 hole. Norma and Mikalor would "work" fine. I was just hoping to find the exact P/N Ferrari used. ... I've also looked at ARMA and Borserini, but they're a little harder to get good information on. From what I have found, they are similar to Norma and Mikalor, with 15mm/20mm widths, and M6/M8 holes (respectively). I haven't come across anyone offering 16mm width, with both M6 and M8 holes.
