There is what looks like a soundbar in the GTB. Go look.

I have and you are sadly mistaken as to the actual functionality of the GTB .

the hot tubes are the way in which Ferrari Has enhanced the sound , there is no electrical enhancement, aka ‘Sound Bar’

Yup. We have had five convertibles. Almost always drive with the top up. But after dark, early mornings and evenings it is fantastic. Don’t really enjoy so much at highway speeds. But I think that is a noise thing for me.

I did not say it was an electrical sound bar, I said it looks like a sound bar and it’s what the hot tube system uses to channel the sounds in the GTB.

100% agree. The GTS not only sounds quieter but the tone is different too, the GTS inside sounds more true to how the car sounds outside, while the GTB has a different tone inside (that I prefer). That is indeed due to the different hot tube designs, the GTB hot tube exits right behind the driver's head while the GTS hot tube is optimized to bring the most sound while the roof is open.

This might be minor to some but it's one of the main reasons I'm sticking to a GTB, the exhaust note inside the cabin is simply one of the best right now. I suspect it'll be the same for most models moving forward.

Perhaps look at page 30 0f this link , it may help . The patented system , that is also on the F80, is far from a sound bar and is adapted to each model . Of course it does not override the perception of some

OK, I’m not going to convince you, but the GTB has ‘what looks like a soundbar’ behind the drivers head and the GTS does not. That’s obviously doing something to channel the engine noise into the cabin on the GTB.

Good data point and It "sold" for that and had delivery miles. Very high MSRP but a huge discount.

That GTS is UAF... Red interior. There's such a tiny market for that. It's a meaningless data point, especially on BAT. It's like gray with a yellow smile.

BaT is often the high water mark for car values. Disagree that it’s meaningless.

You mean LOW water mark...... its basically a wholesale market except for a few rare cars.

    ZR1 did not sell

So you’re telling me that a highly curated marketplace where it takes many weeks to research a seller’s representation of the car + approve a listing and which manages to extract a BUYER’s premium on every sale..…is essentially just a wholesale marketplace for all cars and then somehow magically gets a premium for rare cars? That doesn’t make any sense.

You may own a 296 and not like what’s happening in the secondary market but it seems fairly established that $100K discounts are happening, if we are to believe our friends on this forum. Saying that this sale is “meaningless” is a stretch.

Check the prices of a Z06 on BAT, or even better, a Z07.

There’s no denying that some cars have dropped over $100K, but with Ferraris, spec is everything.

Red interiors typically don’t resell well, much like comfort seats or low-spec builds. At this price range, so many factors come into play. More carbon Fiber will bring bigger dollars, but is it worth it. Just so many things.

I’d much rather work with a dealer or an individual than make a purchase at an emotional auction. It’s similar to how many people will only buy Ferraris OEM from dealers. They tend to be older individuals who take their time making purchases. I spent over six months searching for my car.

I think the seats cost some $$$ in resale , Rosso seats are very personal in terms of taste !

You could buy new carbon race seats, in all black. and still have a ton of money left over. Spend 20k (on eBay) and you are still at 100k savings. Good thing it didn't have red carpets and totally ruin the interior.

Just been offered £170k as a trade-in. Mine was £285k list. It’s tough out there but great for people looking for a cheap 296.
