    Is there any other info on 288? Did he buy it new/ one owner? Ferrari classiche? Will be interesting to see what it goes for.

    One owner. Picked it up at the factory drove it in Italy, shipped home, never converted and parked in the collection.
    I know the car well and never seen a more untouched, more original 288. Not sure of value of the FXX but in my mind the 288 is the Belle of the Ball. Has a Red Book.

    85 more after a 1992 build? I've read 20-60 total in 1992 but never a number as high as 85.

    I understood you. However, I was mistakenly thinking in terms of US-spec production, not all F40s.

    Philippe Bachmann seems to have had the second-to-last F40 delivered to the USA.
    The last model seems to be #93627, ass #10827.
    I have checked the 85 last units was delivered in Europe, Brunei.
