    Hi All,

Not sure if one of my washer jets is blocked, are there 2 streams on the passenger side and 1 stream on the drivers side? Just wondering if the drivers side one is blocked.

Thanks for anyone who can check?

My windshield washer jets are quite **** as well

Reminds me of 80s era cars where it's the equivalent of having a couple of babies take a piss on the windshield

This isn't a part I would be concerned with keeping "original" though

Looks like one of the streams is full of gunk, I'll need to get round to clearing it, presume because it's rarely used!

This 'gunk' in the system is often the result of mixing alcohol-based washer fluid with non-alcohol based. You will have to clean the whole system out; container, pipes and jets and then stick to one type of washer fluid.

Thanks for the tip, I'll take a look at what I have - is it best to use alcohol or non alcohol based. Presume plain water is no good as it would freeze during the winter?

Alcohol-based is best and is what the dealers put in. Unfortunately, water will not only freeze in winter but won't clean very well either.

Mine did this recently at annual inspection time. The washers are never used by me and it sits with a tank of fluid that is probably in part years old by now.

I siphon pumped the tank dry. Refilled with fresh water + flushed the pipes. Needled the jets to be sure they were clear. Then pumped the water out again just to clear last of the old stuff. Refilled with Shell pre mix.

£1 each!!! That has to be some sort of record for the cheapest F part ever.

Good to know they are cheap. Even so it was mostly the bottle being full of crap that needed sorting.

Good know, was the nozzle easy to swap, not had a chance to look but is it easily accessible with the front hood up?
