There was also a famous racing driver Ken Miles born 1. of November 1918. He was mainly incharged in the developing of the Ford GT 40. He was a excellent technician. Also well known from the film Le Mans 66. He died 17. of August 1966 in Riverside.
"I understood that the lust for success devoured him. A noble ambition, as a man, but dangerously lurking. And I knew that, in the family, he did not find water for his fire, but gasoline. I had to read in the newspaper that, for speeding, to break a record stolen from him minutes earlier by a competitor, during the practice of the Mexican Grand Prix, he had gone off the track in a Lotus. This time fate had not been generous. He was twenty years old, and he was such a good boy, always cheerful, with that innocent face of a terrible child.". Thus Enzo Ferrari, in his book "Piloti che Gente", spoke of Ricardo Rodriguez, who died on November 1, 1962 during the practice of the Mexican GP. ©Gazoline Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
