I've had to keep the miles low because it's a 70th anniversary car. Right now I'm at 3,457 miles or so which is just about right. Car was scheduled to be auctioned by Sotheby's in August during Monterey car week but I had to back out in May for several reasons. I've started it here and there and warmed it up and of course its been tendered. Just wanted to take it out for a short drive and get all the fluids ran through it on a proper warm up. It goes in for service this month then I'm going to sell it. Not sure yet where as I have several choices. Here is a link to a collage of some photos of the car.

I get so confounded on why we don’t all just enjoy these marvelous cars? If it’s about ROI these are all BAD decisions. Drive it, enjoy the experience and focus on other means for ROI investments. The best “ investment” is in your joy of life!

I just drove mine to Starbucks and the grocery store. It had 9,000 miles on it a year ago when I bought it. It now has 17,000 miles. That means I put more miles on it than the last two owners did individually. And when we are all on our death beds, I sure as hell won't be mad about those miles. Think they will be happy about a car that sat around unused? Life is short, it's once, and it's amazing, don't live it in fear of things that literally don't matter. Meh

As of the last several years, I put 30k miles between two Huracans, 10k on a Urus Performante, 12k on a GT3 RS, 10k miles on an AMG GTR, 2k miles on a Roma and I could keep going. So, yes I drive my cars. This particular car has gone up in value quite a bit. So to me the smart thing is to sell it. Part of what borthered me was not being able to drive it. Had it been a regular 488 it would have 10k miles on it right now.

With you 100% on enjoyment, here I think the 'mistake' was getting a low miles 70th Anniversary car that would have collector value. Then there's mental pressure not to drive it. For fun, better to get a regular build with 10k+ miles and then drive the wheels off!

Yes, exactly. Didn't realize that at first until I got the car and really understood what 70th cars were about. I will say I've enjoyed learning about 70th cars and almost consider myself an amateur-expert (oxymoron) on them now. One of the things that makes my car unique is I have ALL the items that came with the car from the factory. Many 70th cars have been flipped several times and are missing most to all of these items. Kept by various owners along the way as mementos or souvenirs for their man cave.

This is evident in the F12 "Ingrid" that was sold by Broad Arrow at Wynn. It had nothing. Same with the last two 70th F12s on BaT as of recent. Both only had the "attestato per vetture allestimenti speciali" certification book and one was a copy stamped "Duplicato" across it. Since these are collector cars, to me the value is in having all of these things that came with it. Interesting side note: mine came with everything but the serial numbered model. I hunted down the orginal owner and had to pay a tidy sum for it. It was worth it to me to complete the car. 70th anniversary cars are so cool and they will keep appreciating from here on out imo, especially as we get closer to the 80th anniversary.

I've seen some sellers that don't have the 70th anniversary CF humidor for their car. They then acquire a regular one that came with some 488s. Not the same thing as having the one from the factory like mine below. Ferrari can't and will not make one for you. Only way I've heard it may be possible if you were a Top or VIP client who originally got one and you still have the car but can't find it for whatever reason. I wish I could keep this car but to have it sit in the garage is painful to me. Best to pass it on to someone who might drive it but I doubt it.

    I get it.
However I've put 1500 miles on my 70th this year, even more on the Barchetta and probably the same next year. I enjoy these cars too much to worry about milage.

My '22 F8 Tributo had 6600 miles on it when I bought it in late June. It now has just over 8k miles on it. So in 4.5 months I put about 1400 miles on the car.

Not too shabby. I've driven more than this, of course, but I concur that cars like this are best enjoyed driven. Also, if they sit undriven for too long (a full year!) that can't be good for them.
