As my 1986 328GTS makes its way cross-country to me, it has occurred to me to consider what I might want to add to it. The following are all on my Civic Si, but are they appropriate on the Ferrari?

    1. Lojack (the 328 already has a Clifford Viper alarm)
    2. Wheel locks (the 328 has the original wheels)
    3. Door edge guards (seem like a good idea if I can get them in red)
    4. Cruise control (has anyone put it on a 328?)

Then there is something I've never had in any car I've owned:

    1. Floor mats (anyone know of good mats at a good price?)

Now, do you think I should install all, some, or none of these items?

    Tubis ?
    Bigger brakes ?
Or just leave it like it is ?

Cruise control on a Ferrari doesnt make much sense to me..

    1. Lojack (the 328 already has a Clifford Viper alarm)- Take off the Clifford, no Lojack

    2. Wheel locks (the 328 has the original wheels)- Maybe, but mine are stock bolts.

    3. Door edge guards (seem like a good idea if I can get them in red)- NO WAY

    4. Cruise control (has anyone put it on a 328?)- If you want Cruise control, get a Lexus.

Then there is something I've never had in any car I've owned:

    1. Floor mats (anyone know of good mats at a good price?)- Check the archives

Definitely add metal pedal covers/pads. I prefer the Titanium Cavallino brand/material, but several Sponsors here and others offer Aluminum versions.

My suggestion would be to leave it alone and add miles to the odometer.

Hi Jim, welcome to the 328 club. Awesome cars (when running :p)

Here is my suggestions, bear in mind they reflect my leanings...but here goes:

Your list of stuff: forget it....save the mats.

I have a 328 as well that I like to add things too. :) What I am currently working with people on getting done within the next month/have already on my car has a *.

    What you should look at:

    Interior:

    1. Pedal set* (Hill engineering is our sponsor and as special ones for our cars)

    2. CF Interior trim* (Valence, another sponsor, will be coming out with a line soon (few weeks))

    3. Custom seats - can't help you there, but when I come up with something I will tell you.

    Mechanical:
    1. Tubi exhaust* - some type is a must, and ever since I bought mine, I would never think of anything else. I don't like it down low as much as 3k+ where it sings.

    2. Testpipes* - if you in an emission free state, test pipes are a good idea
    Exterior:

    Exterior

    1. Updated wheels* - this way your OEM will not get scuffed up and you can get bigger brakes I suggest 18, most like 17. OEM 360 is the way I like it.

    2. Updated brakes - I am still working out which and how exactly with the help of others but I know when I am done it will be a 355mm front and rear setup

    3. Skid plate of sorts - I am waiting for our sponsor Hill Engin to release on for 328s before I get the next one which is...

    4. Springs/shocks - I havnt worked out which yet, as I am focusing on the above first, but plan to get them by next summer the latest.

He took Peter's advice, got the tall blonde, and she does have a lot of money (now.) I think she's was on Fchat a few years ago, selling her 328.
