There making v6's, so it's possible. If they do make it should have a gated gearbox. My 2 cents

Not going to happen, although I would buy one.

    Somebody photoshopped the Alfa 4c.

I agree it will never happen. The reason-- there's no need for one from the Ferrari Factory. If it did happen, it would not have the horse on the front for sure.

Should anyone bother to read the original story (which admittedly as usual would spoil the fun....) the article in Autobild is over two years old and called 'Cars that we lack - fresh design ideas for new retro cars - Autobild revives twelve automotive legends'

I like the overall shape but would rework the headlights and front grill area. Some guy is making reproduction Dino's with correct looking frames. Would be a fun project to build a modern looking Dino like this. If I win the Mega Millions, look out!

Would that nose meet the height criteria for European pedestrian accidents? I don't think it is possible to build a low nosed car like a Dino, F40 or Enzo anymore. To get the proportions right, the car would have to be 30 feet long.

No you wouldn't. It will be 20% bigger and lose all the details of the original. It will look like a bloated whale if made today.

Don't those requirements deal mainly with front-engined cars, and the amount of space above the engine components necessary to prevent injury to pedestrians struck by a vehicle? Fred

I don't think the engine location matters. You have to have adequate "crumple zone" in the front to absorb the impact, but I think there was also a requirement for height to prevent severe knee damage. You can see the effect of the regulations most glaringly in earlier Mercedes and BMW models. They remind me of the male Dolphin fish with the big hump at the back of the head.

Some Audi grilles remind me of the painting "Scream," and most new M-B front ends look as though all they are missing is a large hook, with suitable bait attached! Fred

Just had a thought. With a couple of the posts talking about new car requirements, why not an inspired recreation instead? Companies like RCR who do some great looking recreations could tackle this updated design. And it wouldn't have to meet "new car requirements" if it was sold as a kit. I'd seriously be interested in that. Actually, I keep tossing around the idea of RCR's P4.
