Well with the days slowly becoming cooler I was wondering if this event was still going to happen. Really hope it does

Eli, I don't know what Zaff has in mind for this year, but why not organize the event yourself? WC C&C needs more event leaders. :)

Sorry guys...It is the end of the road for the Frosty Balls drive for me. It just became too much of a liability. If you would like to carry the torch forward, please do.

    WC C&C still exists?

And just when I get a 25 year old convertible to fully enjoy the Frosty Balls experience. Was looking forward to this.

Anyone up for a less organized drive this weekend?

WC C&C can still exist on FChat if we wish it. Coordinating events and Saturday mornings meeting locations only here will help keep it small enough to be unnoticed by unsympathetic people.

I’m happy to participate in any event that’s posted. Just not willing to organize one for the same reason Joe Z points out. Small groups are better

Agree with Jon. A small group, a nice drive, a good lunch!

Sorry for not following up. Let me see if I can put something small/private together for one last hurrah in November.

Kudos Joe...you really are a great event starter.

This event has been on my to do list for a number of years now but I'm sorry to say that I was never able to participate in one of these worthy drives. However, the truly sad part to this story is that the hospital (Nemours duPont) has to suffer because of the bad decisions made by a few so-called "car enthusiasts" (not calling out anyone here...I think the reluctance to do this event is mainly due to the combination of the litigious nature of our society combined with the tragic decisions made by some "car enthusiast" latest mishaps nationwide recently)... I completely understand why Joe (and others) doesn't want to organize such an event. It is sad for those worthy institutions involved (as well as for all of us car enthusiasts and philanthropists). I am personally going to make a contribution to Nemours and I hope others here on FChat will do the same.

I too have hesitated to organize car events lately for the same reasons as Joe and it really is a shame...

Thank you. Our firm remains committed to Nemours duPont and will continue donating in amounts equal or greater than what we raised during these events. Of course, every dollar counts, so we all appreciate any contributions you guys make.

As for the event, you are correct. Every year I felt like I dodged a bullet and with all the stuff going on nationally and seeing how our local C&C devolved in some ways, I just thought it was time to bring it to a close. I will miss it, but I thank all of you for making it a great event every year!

Joe, it's been my pleasure to participate in your charitable events. Looking forward to April for the DuPont prom escort drive.
