    Actually, +2: they should use 15" wheels like they used in the early '80s.

    The 17", 18"+ look silly, like wagon wheels.

    I believe one of the sticklers was that 18" wheels would require significantly overhauled mechanical design since they'd need a ton more travel. Maybe 15" would've kept a similar travel in the tire vs. suspension.

    One of the main reasons for keeping the 13s is that they don't have to regulate brake disc size.

    About the 15's, you could even mix and match them. Here's 15 fronts and 13 rears on Rosberg Sr.'s FW08 from 1982. Note the number 6 used to win championship and now used by Nico:
