With the values what they are, vintage F cars are becoming like Shelby Cobras. When I see one I assume its fake until proven otherwise.

In any case, its a lovely car. Would be interested to hear more.

If I were the owner of this car, I wouldn't be too happy about having pictures of it posted on the internet while it was at this location, as if it were on public display. That doesn't look like public display to me. Just saying.

Sign of the times... 'Spotted' posts are in all types of forums these days.

Now with geo-tagging combined with time and date you can point the finger at someone on the back of them being photographed in their nice motor. "You said you were in xyz city hubby, not in Vegas. And who's that sitting next to you!".

Hopefully the OP waited a few days before posting this thread to reduce risk of theft etc.

Why would it be such a problem to see photos of the car here? Pardon my ignorance, but cars are to be driven. And out of your garage/cellar/vault, they may get photographed. What's the big deal?

I have nothing to add on the TR front other than - wow, that looks lovely.

I do spy a Koenigsegg hiding in the background of one of those shots. What a contrast between these two cars.

According to notes on barchetta, 0716TR was finished as such in the Neil Twyman restoration.

Cool Photo. I drove it when Bill took it to Bahrain. A lot of fun to drive. At that time it had been rebodied into it's present state. It seemed to run very well.

The Drogo Coupé body (ex-0716 TR) was installed on the 5th June 1978 on 250 GTE chassis #2493 GT. This was done in Italy, at the time 2493 GT was owned by a major collector in Padova. At the same time the original engine 2493 GT was removed and replaced by 250 GTE engine #3953 GT (internal engine number 618/62 E)

At least that body is period 1964 vintage.

I wonder if the current body on 0716TR is the 70's Fantuzzi one or completely new again during the Neil Twyman restoration or another altogether? Anyone here know?

Meanwhile 0716TR is a very sweet looking car in her current clothes.

Marcel, s/n 716 was a Dubbini car, correct? As I recall the car was basically an original chassis when he owned it with very few original components. What drive train and suspension components are with the car now? Thanks.
