Looking for a carb or QV GTB. Doesn't have to be perfect, but not looking for a "project".
    Thank you

That car was at Sports Car Company awhile ago. Does anyone know about this car? The white GTB he had ended up in PA with 120,000 more miles then stated. Little suspicious about cars that pass through there now.

Jessup - If you are referring to the yellow 77 GTB, that is not the same car. Because I bought the one from SF Sports Car - 22027 - in December of 2012. Very good car and a very easy place to buy a car. I would not hesitate in buying from them again.

I did a visual inspection of the car at Bobileff when it was available there. (I'm assuming this is the same one -- odometer seems to match.)

I believe the mileage is accurate, but the car sat for years and needed (needs?) quite a bit of work. Also it had some minor paint/body damage from a garage accident, so the paint isn't all original -- the original paint had quite a few minor flaws and scrapes. Interior was among the best original ones I've seen.

    Bullfighter - thank you

The current seller said he bought it a year ago for an over seas client. Then Client bought a different car locally and wants to sell this car now rather than ship it.
I was told "everything works, no issues, all original" however in photos I can see an aftermarket ignition and rust streak near rear deck hinge.

The shocks were seized when I saw it -- it wasn't driveable because it had sat for a long time.

I think it would be a fun car to restore mechanically and tidy up the cosmetics, but I wouldn't want to pay a "time capsule" premium for a car and then pay again to do a sympathetic restoration. That said, the car looked very straight, with no visible rust, so it's an interesting starting point.

Plus yellow over black is really striking in person -- very '70s cool.

Jon, I don't think that is true. For example, I purchased a 1981 308 GTBi Euro that was registered in CA and had a CARB sticker from Ogner Motorcars back in 1996/1997.

    There are ways around that....
Called about that car last week. Sounds pretty nice, however its a targa, not a coupe. Although tempting, I've never been a convertible guy. It belongs to F1Austin

It may be possible, but an FChat'er here in San Diego, who has owned several Ferraris, finally sold his '85 Euro QV due to being unable to get it registered.

I suspect finding a car that already has a BAR sticker documenting the required modifications would be a feasible way to do it. An unmodified European car in California... not sure how that could be done above-board, but I'm interested.

Jessup,I don't pop the top very often but its really great when conditions are right. There is no flapping canvas and the cabin feels very berlinetta with the targa top on.There was an error in the FCA ad,very sorry as quite a few disappointed FCA members who insist on Bs responded to the ad.
