According to Superformance's instagram page, today is GT4 Day!:
"The 308 GT4 Dino was launched at the Paris Auto Show on this day in 1973.

An important moment in Ferrari history, this was the very first production Ferrari to feature a mid-engined V8 layout, setting the foundation for future Ferrari marvels, such as the 355 and 458.

To mark the occasion, here’s a great promotional shot of a 308 GT4 at the Fiorano Circuit."

I think the story that the GT4 was not well liked is a very strange claim to me. Its totally of that era.

Because the design was a departure from the standard Ferrari fare. Same thing happened to the Ducati Paso which looked like a Bimota. The Ducati purists hated it.
If the Bimota DB1 was a Ducati it would have received the same treatment. As a Bimota it's celebrated.

For those who prefer Bertone designs, the GT4 offers an unique opportunity.

Do you have photos of the dash, especially the top of the dash?

I had some some where and some of the gauges were in different locations in the cluster from the production cars.

Interestingly the seats in those photos have contrast piping. I've seen a few cars with black seats and red piping in the wild. Is that original maybe? Are there any other color schemes?

Maybe it's just the duotone interior that looks like contrast piping.

So, most of those photos are from the Bertone stand next to the Khamsin, X1/9 and the NSU Trapeze.

There's also one photo from the Pozzi stand next to a 246 and a Daytona.
