I just finished a drive and my car stalled out 3 times. Once leaving a parking lot (after smooth initial drive to the grocery store) and twice at stop lights. The dash battery light illuminated while at idle but when out when foot was on the gas. Upon getting home and parking I went to the rear of the car to inspect the engine and notice the muffler glowing red.

the fuel is fresh and my last major was spring of last year.

    any initial ideas?

The muffler was glowing red? Usually it's the cat converter! In any case, sounds like one bank is not firing and dumping raw fuel into the exhaust.

Sounds good - any detailed diagnostic procedures?

Check for misfires (bad plugs, bad wire, loose wire, bad coil, etc) that can cause a glowing cat/exhaust.

No misfires or performance issues. Can faulty fuel pump be the issue? It was leaking this spring, but mysteriously stopped leaking.

The car can run quite well on one bank of cylinders, while dumping fuel into the exhaust system (not good). Probably a failing coil. Need to change the oil after you sort this, there is fuel in there and probably fouled spark plugs will need changing.

Where was the fuel pump leaking, at the pump itself?

couldn't exactly specify - but based on the drops that appeared to be the source on the front side.
