Drove my car this morning and during the drive, the car started missing suddenly. I stopped and repressed the plug wires, afterwhich on touching the cable which has a connecter (pin type) to the distributor 5-8, the car suddenly regained composure and started working fine. Can anyone tell me the part number for the wire/or where I can find them

Exactly. Though on the other bank. I guess I should change both. How much do these cost and should the plug wires also be changed??

If you are thinking about changing that connector plan on spending some big money. The connector is attached to the wiring loom that goes to the ecu's. I would cleaning it off with some good electrical cleaner, and then apply some stablant-22a to the connections. Unless you have some broken wires, underneith the rubber boot on the back, I wouldn't be thinking about replacing the whole loom.

Ernie is correct, the connector is not available as a spare, only the entire harness. Clean in with electrical contact cleaner first, then treat with Stabilant.
