3500GTZ

Hello
Anybody have any info on the other 3500 Zagato?
I've been told that the factory dismantled it way back, but I have reports of a sighting in the '80s in a barn in the south of USA (with bullet holes) and after 2000, also in the USA.
Any photos out there?

It is my understanding that the second 350GTZ, 0322, was sold to a client in Hong Kong and suffered an horrendous accident. Apartly Valentino himself confirmed that he dismantled the car at the factory and it no longer exists. Years agao I heard that a replica was built by someone in Italy, but I've never heard anything else about it since.
The other 350GTZ, 0310, is now in Europe I believe, although updates and photos of either car would be appreciated. I've only seen two pictures of 0322, one on a transporter truck and the other at the motor show where it was displayed, (Turin 1965 from memory, but I may be wrong) and am very keen to see any other images that may be out there. Glen's website is one of the best sources of information about these cars.

From Road & Track, February 1966, report by Pete Coltrin:

"The Lamborghini-Zagato will be built in limited numbers. This is not, properly, a Lamborghini project but rather that of their Milan agent, Lamborcar. They had the car built to their specifications and say they already have several orders. Two examples were shown at the Turin Show (1965), one on the Lamborghini stand, the other on the Zagato stand."

From an article in Thoroughbred & Classic Cars, April 1983, by Stefano Pasini:

" Presented in London at the annual Motor Show, the 3500 GTZ was undoubtedly not the best effort of this otherwise genial designer, and remained a one-off (rumors that a second car was completed proved groundless)."

Hi Rich,

I remember vividly Kyle Fleming mentioning to me years ago that he was offered a Zagato Lamborghini and A lusso.Both cars were located in a barn somewhere in the U.S and kids shot bullet holes through both cars.The zagato was available for $3500 but kyle purchased the Lusso instead.He said the Zagato was ugly and no one in his right mind would ever want it
