Looking to insure my 355 spyder. does any one know how much i should be paying per year and with who to ensure with. i am getting ridiculous quotes such as $3000 per year. I had heard that it should run around $1000 per year.

Depends were you live, your driving record, deductable, miles driven, etc...

If it helps I pay about $500 per year with an accident free and low mileage plan through State Farm with a low deductable.

Yes, full coverage. Keep in mind that I live in MN so 6 months are storage months but none the less it is $58.00-$60.00 per month full coverage, limited mileage during the season (I drive that car about 300 miles per month) and then drops to something like $20 per month for the storage months. I carry a $250 comp deductable and $500 collision, full glass, rental and towing. Mine is a 95 348 spider.

Would you consider a collector car insurance? Hagery, Classic car. Its cheap/full coverage/no deductible and free towing as I get from my Classic Car Ins.

The policy might limit your car to 5K miles a year, but worth a look. Good luck!

I have my 1995 F355 Spider insured with Progressive for $175/per month. It is insured for up to $65,000 replacement value. No limit on miles. If you lower the replacement value then the price would be less.

I recently dropped Grundy ($978/yr) and went with a company from the Barret Jackson Auction house called Chartis. Much better policy and was only $417/yr. Agreed value of $60,000 for my 95 spider. Mileage limit of 2,500mi/yr. I think - not sure.

I have Allstate and I don't remember exactly what the payment was but there was no hassle with them when my Diablo caught on fire and was destroyed. They also did not have any mileage restrictions.

$1500 per year with zero deductible and no mileage restrictions, with Grundy Worldwide. I have an agreed value policy. (and what they agreed to (granted 5.5 years ago) is insanely high now...)

    Mine's insured through Progressive in Indiana. It's about $70/month for comprehensive+collision with a stated-value, after a multi-car discount.

Check with The Hartford (http://hartfordauto.com/ ) if they can do your car. I’ve been with them for few years now and haven’t really had any cause for complaint despite two minor claims and a transfer.
