430 challenge

Hope this isn't a repost, but some 430 challenge info is on the owners site. The car is to be unveiled at Frankfurt, 483HP, 2750 LBS, and no electronic aids. Sounds like the car alot of us have been wishing for.

 

Only 483hp? I thought they would have hit the 500 mark.

 

That's the same HP as the F430. Didn't the 360 Challenge also have the same engine as the 360 Modena?

From the Owner's Site:

"The 2000 season saw the debut of the 400-bhp 360 Modena Challenge alongside the F355. The 360 Modena maintains the same output (400 bhp @ 8,500 rpm) as the standard road car, but incorporates a number of modifications designed to radically improve its performance in track use."

 

i thought the 360 challenge had 425 horsepower...

 

No, the Challenge Stradale is supposed to have 425 HP, but even that is doubtful.

118 hp per liter does sound a little crazy for car that is not turbocharged.
