I recently acquired a 456M GTA, black on black, and am happy to have found this forum. I am considering swapping out the factory chromed wheels for something different--perfect condition. Any ideas on potential swaps or local So California wheel shops?
As an alternative, any way to swap out the center circles for something different, maybe with the yellow color?

Why not post a picture of the car and the wheels so we can get a better idea.

Not aware that any of those wheels came from the factory chromed!

Not aware of any Ferrari that came out of the factory with chrome wheels!
The 456 had only one type of wheels throughout its production cycle.

Maybe they weren't factory after all; I purchased the car with a history that it came new in 1999 with these wheels. They look like the standard 456 wheels, just in chrome. I'll try to get a photo out when I figure out how to do it. In the meantime, could use some ideas of good and tasteful options. Thanks, everyone.

There are wheel shops that will chrome the 456 wheel - you can see this advertised on Ebay. This is likely how your car came to have chrome wheels from the time it was new, assuming the wheels are the factory type.
As for the center caps, I can tell you from experience that the 1st generation caps (yellow center with black horse, and either a grey or black surround) will fit the 2nd generation wheels.
