Can someone please do me a big favor and measure the height of roof to ground of a stock 550 and a stock 599? I need to see if I can haul one to Cavallino with us in the race transporter. The way we do it for the best accuracy is to take a 6' level to the highest part of the roof and measure down to the ground on pretty level concrete.

    Thanks in advance

    David

The 550 is 50.3 inches high; the 599 is 52.6 inches.

Did you do this on a car or from the manual?

These are Ferrari's quoted heights for both vehicles.

I imagine physically measuring it on a car would ultimately prove to be less accurate than the quoted heights.

It would be if they change the ride height for the US market, which I've heard they do. I'm not sure if it's true though.

    FYI for all.

The cars have a range that puts the roof at 48" up to 54" depending upon where the spring perches are at after cornerbalance. Measuring the car with a level on flat ground is a good way to be accurate for the roof. The only reason I needed the roof height before I got the car was to give me an idea how much we would have to turn the spring perches to fit in a 50.5" floor to celing height on either deck of our big transporter. We work on quite a few 550's but did not have one in the shop at the time.

    thanks
