Why is the front end of the 612 so much longer than the 599's? If Ferrari can fit its v12 nicely behind the axil within the space the 599 allows, why does it need even more for the 612? If anything, should'nt the 612 have an even smaller front end, since they could presumably push the engine froward a bit--given the additional weight in the back-- and stll achive a 50/50 balance or even rear-end bias.

Carlo- Right, especially since the HGTC exhaust looked so nice on the 612s. Probably a mule for the next 2+2, since the 612 is the oldest car in the line-up right now and the last with flexible belts.

IMHO, the 612 would look much better with a subtle rear lip. As it stands currently, the car looks like it has no ass.

Ron- We could mate one with a California. No grumps about insufficient rear end on that one.

The 612 has plenty of rear - its not photofriendly
Sure take the Mas-Ferrrati Cali and mix it with a 612 that has long lines. Its only
currently the most expensive car built by Ferrari.

Its a hot car ...but I still think its MasFeratti Looking. Look at the same long swoops as the GT Maseratti

They certainly look nice....but they sound even better :)

I'm guessing it could be a facelift? The 456 lasted 10 years and got a facelift after 5. The 612 is roughly 5 years old, so a facelift would make sense.

...or maybe Ferrari has other plans. I don't now.

I personally think that the 612 looks MUCH better than that Giugiaro concept.

Just google "Giugiaro GG50" and you will find plenty of pics/info.

Based on the big bump in the hood, that car is probably a mule for the new Euro emissions regulations. Stop-start and all that. They need the bump for extra sensors, etc for test purposes.
