The Silver 959 is from the Preston Henn Collection. It spent the weekend in our care while the magazine was documenting for the article.

The famous 959 cutaway on display in period. You'll notice each corner has not one, but two, damper units (see second picture for detail). That makes for eight dampers on the car total, half of which were hydraulically linked to avoid the use of anti-roll bars, the other half being traditional coilovers.

The Bridgestone RE71 "Denloc" tire was made specifically to match the 959's wheels, with a special bead profile that would ensure it remained on the rim in the event of any high speed puncture. Bridgestone still makes these tires in small batches each year to support 959 customers, as no other design will fit on the standard 959 wheels.

I believe this is the first one so far, as it was recently introduced at Luftgehkult 5.

You are correct that this is the first of their "959SC" line (I think), but more broadly there have been plenty of modified Canepa 959s before.

I meant to say Canepa has reworked a number of 959s mechanically

I wonder how long it's been since someone sat on the hood of a 959. :)

I was always curious if sequential turbocharging is better than parallel turbocharging (used in the F40)

What is better a small (low rpm) and a large (high rpm) turbo ? Or 2 small turbos , one for each bank of cylinders ??
