What is the estimate, do you know?

Those numbers sound reasonable considering what Penske's F50 brought in January.

 

I will not be surprised if the estimates are surpassed.

It would appear - although I'm sure to be corrected - that F50-99999 (the one and fully-documented only 99999) set a new auction record for F50s. All things considered, did it also set the high mark for all 'supercars'? 288GTO, F40, F50, Enzo??

Some Enzos have sold at more, and a 288 GTO has sold at close to the same.

 

Wasn't there a 288 GTO for sale at 1.9mil in Dubai? It had 600 miles of use and was described as 'USA' spec.

Speaking of numbers, this thread contains a number of blurbers firmly convinced that there are more 99999s out there. For those who believe such a thing - and adamantly stated same - How much will one of the 'ghost' 99999 cars sell for??

Excellent answer! "Priceless" would be inversely proportional to the value of the opinions published by the adamant believers in the "...many 99999s" story made up by a used car salesman.
Still, given the F50 auction record that 99999 set, it would seem to be the Champ. It is, indeed, a fantastic car. Easy to drive. No electronic bells/whistles. Visceral, tactile, and a joy to operate. The end of the line stretching back to the first Supercar - the 250LM.

If one considers the historic Enzo era F-cars they never really worried too much about accurate numbering, perhaps they havent been too worried until very very recently.

The factory would be quite happy to sell you the LaFerrari #1 if you are important enough and potentially if there is enough money they could sell a couple of them with #1 on them ??????

 

... indeed, could've had most all the 99999's for that just a short while ago!

Looks like my opinion back in 2011 has shown to be accurate .

 

Note that a rising tide raises all ships and in fact a "standard" USA F50 has sold for in excess of that sum recently.

 

My goal is not to reopen the debate but while reading an old issue of Prancing Horse I saw this interesting table from 1995 compiled by our well-known Marcel Massini (see note (8)). I said to myself that it was mandatory to put the information here in order to show a new evidence of our assumption that there are (or were) several F50 numbered 99999.
