my advice, is be prepared , you will never really know how much its going to cost, and be prepared to fly atleast 2 days a week or you will be spending more money........its mostly about time and money and make sure you have your first class medical.......well depending on what you shooting for....then theres no surprises after you have spent sooo much!! i started at a flight acadamy....best thing i ever did and the best experiences!!only thing was financialy was extremely difficult! only one place to get a loan .......mostly sally may.......which i was unable to obtain so....out of pocket it will have to be.....i recently started flying again and it feels better than ever, after a 4 months of downtime...felt more comfortable than i ever had...also flew gliders for a bit...which also helped me feel alot more comfortable in the air......good luck!!

    Hello:

My advice is make sure you commit till you are finished. I probably have a list of about 150 people on my client list that have started and never finished. once you have your certificate it is good for ever. The only thing that will stop you from flying is being current and a medical.

I have a post on one of my blogs that explains everything for the most part. Here

Another thing I have seen that will cost you quite a bit more is switching instructors. I have had many students over the years get mad at their flight instructor and come to me to finish their training. Many times they are almost ready for their checkride. The problem is the new instructor has to do every area of operation in the PTS in order to sign them off for the flight test.

If you are going to switch make it before you solo don't wait until you are at the cross country or flight test stage
