    Hi guys,

Well, it's my third month in country and I thought to pass some flying photos along. Power management is key especially when operating at the high altitudes with a heavy weapon load and an extra, internal tank. It's hot, dusty and dry at the lower altitudes but exact opposite when in the mountains.
The older A model Apache's a good platform for this fight. The Longbow is heavier without the upgraded engines the British have installed. The rockets and gun have worked well here and the mechanics are amazing. I am so proud of these guys.
Take a look at the photos. The cave is now closed. Bad guys with their "toys" were hanging out in there. Thanks for taking the time to read.

Thanks for sharing. Very cool. And, ditto on the thanks for serving.

I was in the Navy (on a carrier in Persian Gulf I). I don't know the equivalent in your service, but we would say, "Fair winds and following seas, shipmate."

Hey man, thanks for the photos, the Apache is a kick@$$ chopper.

Where's your unit based back in the States? Any chance you're out of Conroe, Texas? I've got a buddy who's going to be in that unit, and he always talks about how the A-Models are better suited for the high altitudes...just wondering if that's you guys.

Sweet helmet, and we support you back in the USA!

Thanks, folks, for the nice responses. As far as blowing stuff up, all I can say is that it's done a pretty darn good job when asked. We are always wanting to get into the fight more and more. However, we're reminded that we, alone, aren't here to win the fight. There are fighters, bombers and artillery helping out, too!

I'm the guy standing on the wing facing away. We were watching a couple of Apache's working a range nearby. A combat photographer took the photo without us knowing. For some reason, I dig that shot.

Thank you, again, for the kind words and the support.
