I'm really sorry to hear that. How big of a rock are you talking? How fast were you going?

That is a bummer. I just avoided one the other day. Also noticed that there's a lot more junk collecting near the center dividers. I'm sure the State being broke has something to do with it and it's a good way to remind everyone of that fact.

I've hit a brick once and a wooden box. It sucks!

I guess it's not just Texas, but I've noticed a increase in road debris lately.

I was merging left doing about 70 never saw it coming, my friends were behind me and saw it fly up after i hit it. It had to be the size of a block wall brick from the way they described it They need to start cleaning the freeways more often, they say that california is broke but if you go up north the roads are much cleaner.

I drove over a huge one on pch when it was raining on Tues night. I guess it came down off the hillside. Sounded like my E55 broke in half! Everything is ok. Something really has to be done on the fwys though.

I agree... I'm so sorry to hear your fate. Luckily, you are OK. It could have been much worse.

I had another example last year that scared the doo doo out of me.

I was running my Maserati down the 405 one day at about 65 mph and a large flattened cardboard box was run over by a truck in front of me. The darn thing flew up like a frisbee at about the 4 foot level. It hit the hood of my car and luckily bounced off to the right. But, if it had hit the windshield square I swear it would have taken my head clean off.

I can't believe how stupid people are to not secure their loads on the freeways.

Good luck getting your machine back to where it's supposed to be.
