    Tiff Needel tested one of these Appennine replicas on the "old" Top Gear. He talked about the engine design and construction. You might find something on youtube.

    Absolutely fascinating and very nicely done! It must be fun to drive, although, for $375K, there are many alternatives to consider even if one doesn't want a real vintage car.

    It's just 2 Alfa Romeo "Nord" production engines inline ... why they simply did not purchase a replica 8c engine confuses me, they are made to keep the old P3's, etc. going.

    The confusion will relate to price given the replica 8C engines run over $200,000+,this Alfetta based engine was built by Weslake in UK with 8 Cylinder crank, cams and rods & more. It is amazing to drive given weight & performance.
