Good break for the Prodrive Astons - they'll be 55 kg lighter than the two works C6-R's. They've also been granted a larger diameter air restrictor worth about 20 bhp. This all follows the Corvette's dominance over the Astons in the last two ALMS rounds last year. GT1 so far is (2) Corvette C6-R's, (2) Saleen S7R's and the Astons.

According to the entry list thus far, the Risi 430GT Berlinetta will be driven by Ralf Kelleners and Jamie Melo (Brazil).

Hope the entries pick up a bit - only showing P1-7; P2-8; GT1-6 and GT2-16 right now. There's a Lola B2K/10 GBL (Diesel) from the UK in P1.

A solid feel to be sure, and it would be the ideal size for most events on the ALSM schedule, but I think the 12hr field should be on the order of 45-50 cars strong. That said, with all the recent announcements of new teams/ cars, I think this will be the best ALMS season since the inagurral in 1999.

    Cheers

Anyone remember the days of when certain 'legendary' owner/drivers would buy equipment with cash ? I mean be walking around with suitcases of $100,000 in them ?
