Why 3700? And why 4000 on the first Quattroporte?

    Best regards!
    Magnus

Very strange car for a last series GT .
'62 tail lights but white retro light missing. '63 exhaust pipes . Not original wheels .
Why iniezione badge on a GT ? And why a Maserati 3700 badge if engine is a 3500?

    Ciao

    Andrea

    Andrea,
I know this car! Some details are not correctly restored.
Importand is the coachwork that shows all details of the III. Series!
Wheels are wider and NOT Borrani!

If this would be the strange Allemano-proto (2 made!) - then I would agree. But those 2 cars had different VIN`s although they were coded AM101.
I think you are interpreting something wrong into this car.

    Ciao!
    Walter

It was only a simply question , about the remote possibility if that car was one of the two Touring AM108*002 (1964) or AM108*004 (1965) with 3700 engine . Nothing else . Never spoken of Allemano prototypes .

    Ciao

    Andrea

    Andrea,
the "3700"-bade comes propably from a Mistral. Who know? Maserati put everything on their cars what was laying around in their corners!

    Ciao!
    Walter
