After having bought your 360/430, do you wish you would have purchased a different one or is there something you would change about it?

    Spider v. Modena?

    Different exterior or interior color?

    Certain features?

    6 Speed v. F1?

I am having trouble narrowing down my criteria. About the only thing of which I am certain is that I want one that is well sorted.

Well, I couldn't make up my mind either. So I purchased a 360 Modena F1! Stunning car....kept it for 2 years and sold it only to buy an F430 Spider also F1! The F430 is stunning as well..... Would do it all over again in a NY minute! Love both cars, but the F430 is amazing!!!

I knew for sure what I wanted and I ended up getting it ... an F430 Spider, red with black interior, shields, 6-speed stick. No regrets. Take your time and good luck with the search!

Love mine. 430 F1 coupe grigio silverstone, red stitching, red inserts on Daytona, carbon fiber.

Coupe vs spider was an easy choice for me, as I have never liked convertibles.

Color is also a very personal choice. Personally didn't want red, white, yellow, or light silver. Left black and the darker shades of silver. Personally, I'm really happy with the silverstone. The perfect color for me.

Always had 6 speeds, but decided to go for the F1 and just love the paddle shifting.

    Really nothing I would change.

I really think the key is to figure out what you want- miles, color, coupe vs spider, and F1 vs 6 speed. Once you figured out that, then don't settle for something that doesn't fit your criteria. After you find one, then check out the mechanics of the car.

For me, red stitching, red inserts, shields, CCB's, new clutch, new F1 pump, and new headers were just bonuses (in my eyes) on my car. The main things for me were low miles, well documented, exterior/interior color, coupe, and F1.

    Good luck!

I'm going against the grain a little here.
I do have a little regret I got the 360.
reasons? multiple but here are the main ones (no particular order)

    can't really drive it anytime/anywhere.
can't drive it when weather is bad: raining, wet road.
    can't drive it to work.
draws too much attention - some may like it, I don't. I drive it at night or early morning. Others can't see you or it's not busy enough.
as the consequence, I drive this fun fun car 1-2x/week. Then I either drive it around then go home or go only to places I have carefully thought about in advance. Then only along roads that I have to think about. No bad roads, no dirty roads, etc.

Don't get me wrong, it's a thrilling, great car. Never have driven something so awesome before. However, I wonder if I should have gotten a less conspicuous and excessive car.

Had I gotten a Porsche I probably would have driven it more. JC at TG summarized my feeling best.

other than that, you are on target, dirty roads are fine, rough roads are not.

Had silver 360 with 6spd. Daily drove it for 2 years, it was a great daily driver.

Things I regret, wish I had gotten red or black. 360 looks so good in black (black is hard to take care, but nothing xpel clear film wrap entire car can't fix. You will never see swirl mark with Xpel self healing clear wrap on a black car). I Also Regret of not getting tubi exhaust and ecu tune for it.

My 360 wasn't powerful enough, but I strongly felt additional 30~50rwhp would had been enough.

I sold it and bought a black Gallardo 6spd. Now I just need to add a F430 6spd to my stable.

No regrets ... I put it off or 4 years! Just be sure you driven everything you are considering, you will immediately know which one is the right pony for you. I purchased a 08 spider classics red and tan... Love the car best thing I ever did.

Wish I had gotten the 458 instead. The 430 is just too slow and ponderous for my taste and lacks the refinement of the 458. This car simply does not inspire confidence when taking off quickly from a red light or attempting a passing maneuver on the expressway. The 911 is much better in that regard which was a surpirse to me.

Don't regret anything for a second on my 3pedal car. Glad I bought a 3pedal and didn't compromise with an F1.. Not that that would have been a real "compromise". :)

Agreed - but could be hard on a marriage. I hate it when chicks throw themselves on my car and want to be taken home.

    I purchased a 99 360 Coupe F1 Red/Black earlier this year. Very pleased.

If I were purchasing again, I would probably go for a 3 pedal car, possibly in a less attention grabbing color, but only because the ownership experience this car provided. I have no regrets on the color combination I selected and the F1 gearbox has allowed me to share the Ferrari driving experience with countless friends and acquaintances, some of whom either would have been uncomfortable driving a 3 pedal car who would have made me uncomfortable :)

I had it checked out by a local Ferrari dealership service department. He said that it performs as expected for a 430. The 0 - 60 claims for this car are wildly optimisitic IMO. It simply fails to perform as one would expect of a 490 HP car.

Got 6-speed '07 Berlinetta a year ago. Fabulous car.

My only regret is that the car came with a TPMS system which was optional at the time. It has cost more to fix/maintain it than the original system MSRP cost (about $1K). I am told by Ferrari service that:
    1. Batteries in the sensors last a nominal 5 years, after which you need to replace the sensor
    2. The early systems were cranky.

I've had women make sounds that resemble an orgasm when I have driven by them in parking lots (seriously!), have had women pull up to me on the street and lift up their tops (and I don't mean convertible top!), chase me down the street, etc.

Maybe it's because I am SO HANDSOME... :D

I tested the 3 pedal and F1 variants and bought the F1. I can't say that I regret having done so (because the F1 is a delight once up and running) but I don't like the way the F1 handles first gear get-aways (i.e., you have to be really respectful towards the throttle).

I have no other regrets. I love the color (TDF blue) and the price was right. It's a gorgeous car that's a delight to drive, especially with the top down.
