I have a circa 1989 Blaupunkt radio in my '89 328. Is there a way to wire the radio to the OEM antenna motor so that the antenna will raise automatically when the radio is turned on and retract when it is turned off?

Yes. You simply just need to bypass the antenna switch in the console.

I have a modern head unit with Bluetooth. I use it mostly for voice instructions from Google maps. Since I don't want the antenna up when using Bluetooth, I've rewired my system such that the antenna goes up only when the head unit is on and the antenna switch is on. Likewise, if its up, the antenna automatically goes down when I turn the car off.

I will have to check, but I seem to recall that the oem switch is disconnected, and the blue wire from the radio/cd player is connected to the aerial so when switched on aerial automatically extends and retracts when switched off.
