Wonder if anyone has seen anything about a one of a kind Aventador roadster, the Aventador J?

Pretty hot! It doesn't meet windshield height requirements, so I am guessing that it is a track-only vehicle in the US... I love it!

I am going to guess $650k.

    Aventador is at 400k.
This one is convertible. Add 100k.
    Special edition. Another 100k.
    Better performance. Add 100k.
    That's 700k.

Now take away 50k for the lack of creature comforts and limited usability.

Wow, that is pretty damn cool. I thought arial atom when I just saw that pic. Just really cool.

Wonder how much weight was shaved... Don't really like the thought of no windshield, but sure looks great that way.

Ruined by introducing a Lamborghini in GERMAN! What a freakin' idiot. Just when I started to like Lambo again they turn it back into Audi. UGH!!!!!

I was thinking around $2.5-4MM US. But I figured it was going to be closer to the higher end of that. I stand corrected.

If only they would have put that Gallardo "speedster concept" thing for sale, or the muira concept!

Are you racist? or maybe some other type of hater?
When they make presentation of new Ferrai in USA they speak english or italian? For your information over 70% of Swiss population use german language every day, it's national language and this is the most popular language in Switzerland, so he had every right to speak this language during a presentation in Switzerland.

I think his point was that the German reminds him of the Audi ownership of Lamborghini, whereas Italian or English would not have evoked that connection. I don't think he was saying that German should not be spoken or the Swiss audience should not be catered to (wouldn't that require Swiss-German, French and Romansch, anyway?).

Racist? I thought Italians and Germans were both Caucasians.

The problem I have with Lambo is that it's becoming -- and viewed as -- more and more like just another arm of Audi. It's losing it's Italian "flavor" and heritage. When you're marketing a car like this, you don't want to confuse the message. That's exactly what's being done here.

So, they couldn't find someone with an Italian accent to speak German to the crowd when introducing a car like this to the world?

It's gives wrong impression. That's all I'm saying.

Totally agree. The Aventador is the best since the Countach and this is just one fantastic variation of it. I hope they do more wild things like this with the platform.

There is one weird thing though. The Aventador has a CF tub -- that's a complete capsule including the roof. I wonder how they manage to make this conversion without the roof.

What a joke. He's a freakin' idiot for not understanding how to properly market his company's products.

If I called YOU a freakin' idiot, that would be different. But, I'm not.

The more Lamborghini appears to be just another Audi, the worse it will be for Lamborghini to survive. They already put one foot in the grave with the Audi R8 and R10. Now, they have a chance to bring it back and they spoil it with this stunt.

That's what a freakin' idiot does. Do all this work and then spoil it by giving people the wrong impression.

It's no different than the idiotic "Jennifer Lopez" Fiat 500 commercial in the US. Whoever came up with this idea to market the car to women is a total and complete "freakin' idiot".

I don't need to meet them to know that.

Do yourself a favour and read a few more of Bob's posts. He's one of the nicest and most enthusiastic posters on this site, so don't take the wrong impression away from just a couple of posts. If he's making a statement it will invariable be thoughtful and not from the hip.
