Autocar managed to get hold of a prototype, and Steve Sutcliffe talked about his impressions here:

    http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/254451/

He basically says that it's better than the Murcie in every way.

Yes, I saw that one. I think most of them have had a go in the prototype. Can't wait for them to give it a proper hammering, though. If it is, indeed, better than the car it replaces as they say it is then it's going to be quite something.

The Geneva show cars look incredibly low. Does anyone have any knowledge on whether these cars were lowered for the show or are they this way for production?

    Clearly I remember ...
That's the same people used to say about the 288GTO
when the 328 was replaced by the 348 ...

OK I got your point clearly ...

    like they say ...

If they don't have something nice to say
they better don't say nothing at all

regarding black wheels ; I'm a hater as well ...

And notice how any Gallardo variants were conspicuosly absent fromt the VW group stand. Perhaps VW is trying to hide something.

Nikkis: in fact, for the public days there was two Gallardos ont the stand (one bicolore among them) and just the orange Aventador. The white one and the grey one were removed.

Rudy: Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed my work.

What a boring discussion this would be if everyone just said "nice" things.

Interesting that most people seem to be photographing the orange one with the white a distant second and the grey a rare sight. The grey looks much better to my eye. I wonder if it's that the orange just looks stunning in the flesh (and is not reproducing with as much impact) and that's why the photographers are drawn to it. Though I don't seem to be reading the kind of "you just have to see this colour in the flesh" sort of comments that, say, the three layer colours on the 458 have been generating.

The 288 had demand that far outstripped supply.

    The revulsion did not.

The 288 had more than its low production numbers to set it apart from the rest of the cars Ferrari built. I'm still trying to figure out what distinguishing characteristics the Reventon has that justifies the price differential, not to mention its even existence.

Wow the Aventador looks incredible, but that Pagani interior is out of this world! If only the rest of the car looked that good, it's like a freaking spaceship haha.

Looks like a fat Gallardo, with broken doors, (and 2,000miles on the clutch)

This video is a case in point of why Lambo clutches don't last!!!! This guy was slipping the f**k out of that car's clutch the whole time he was trying to move it into position. These cars are not made for that. It should be pushed by a couple people for this kind of use! He just put 5,000 miles of normal wear on that clutch in a few minutes of retarded driving.

I made my post the same time as you did! We agree on the clutch! I hope the new buyer (assuming it was parked into a dealership) gets a new clutch with the purchase, because that clutch is almost done after 0.2 miles on the odometer. This is why I don't let ANYBODY drive my cars....not car transporters, not mechanics, not pretty girls, NOBODY! I think new Lambos should have a switch to radically lower the gearing for low-speed use. For example, I like that on an LM002, you can just drop the transfer case into low for zero-clutch-wear low speed moves, like parking in tight spots.
