    I have a 95 355 with a Tubi and straight pipes. I have noticed, that if I hold the revs at a high RPM, say around 5k, hit the gas hard and shift quickly, my car backfires. I LOVE the way it sounds and I wonder if I am getting Miami Vice flames out of the pipes. :) Anyway, has anyone else experienced the same thing? Is this bad?

    Sounds like excess fuel in cat to me.
