I removed the battery in my countach to replace it with a new one and I totally forgot to see which way was position and negative.

Can someone tell me when looking at the car is the positive wire (cable) on the left or right?

    Thanks

You should be able to follow one of the cables , one of them will be going to the chassis or engine that will be negative ( ground ) and the other will be going to the starter , that will be the Positive try to see where they go, on the Diablo the positive goes through a fuseable link first.

On a left hand drive car, I have seen trunks where the positive battery terminal is closest to the brake booster & I have seen the battery sitting 180 degrees opposite. I believe the normal orientation of the battery is where the positive battery terminal is closest to the brake booster. The ground wire is mounted to the chassis just under the battery towards the right side of the car.
