I'll be in Cleveland next week for a couple of days. May have to swing by Goldman's place and do some sightseeing.

    Very nice. :)
Very cheap compared to what we pay here for them sadly enough.
There was a really nice yellow 355 GTS, with the same carbon fibre seats. Car was immaculate with around 20,00km (12,000 miles) on the clock. I loved it and would love to own it, but.........it cost a hefty AU$189K. That is US$148K. No where near the US$89K wanted for this example on Ebay. Us poor Aussies get smashed with Import Tax and GST Tax on imported cars. :(:(

That is a good idea, and I thought about that before I purchased my 348 here. Actually, it is an average idea, because they still screw you....:(

I was going to get a UK car, because we need RHD cars here in Oz. Then ship it here myself. The car was alot cheaper, but you still get stuck with Import Tax, Luxury Car Tax and Gross Sales Tax. Then you have the fear of getting the car stuck on the docks in quaratine for god knows how long. Plus I had to pay AU$4K to ship car here. Would have taken up to 6 weeks apparently? Then you have to get the car Australian Design Rules (ADR) complianced. To make sure that it passes Aussie safety standards. Then have to register it. BIG BIG process involved just to save a few thousand. I think I could have had a 348 here for around AU$80-90K from the UK. Was better off paying the extra AU$25K like I did to get one that was already here in Australia. :)

No Doubt had a good idea. Only found out about this when he posted it many months ago. If I could get a RHD car from the USA. Pull the engine/gearbox out, wheels, seats, doors ect.......load into shipping container and ship parts over here. You dont pay tax on imported car parts. Or very very little anyways. Then load the empty shell into another shipping container and ship the car shell over here. Get all the parts and put it back together and there you have your 348. :D Just have to get it ADR complied then and registered. That is another way to go about it. Still alot involved though, but that would save ALOT of cash doing this way I reckon. :)

That's a terrible GTS! But it is one nice Berlinetta, especially the seats. Paint it yellow, add a challenge grill, upgrade the valve guides and it'd be PERFECT :)

that would be hilarious if you parted the car then shipped it. It would be an interesting picture. 10,000 boxes all together in one pic, then a 348 in the next pic

Call me crazy, but I think the regular seats look better in 355s. The sport seats are too curvy... Looks out of place. Nice looking car though :)
