This painting is the first in a series of vintage racing paintings I've embarked on, entitled "Beginner's Luck". I've always had a passion for automotive/racing art, but most of the paintings & illustrations I come across are too literal. What I'm attempting to do is stylistically capture a mood... raw, emotional & inspirational. I chose to work with mixed media: enamels, acrylic latex and acrylics on a dramatic 30" by 40" canvas. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do:

I'm trying to determine what's cooler, that awesome painting or the fact that it's using a TR for a stand. :) Nice job.

TR or 348? I can't tell. Great painting and car which ever it is!

The 348 easel is for sale, too (if interested) ;)

Thanks. I plan on painting a series with vintage racing as the common theme.
