Best car chase scene in Movie?

Ronin for sure but lets not forget the end of the Gumball Rally when the cobra and Daytona are neck & neck through river and streets of long beach.

There's a great scene at the beginning of Against All Odds with a black 308 vs a 911. It's not worth watching the rest of the flick.

My picks, definitely Ronin. Bullitt is amazing.

I haven't seen mention of the chases in Terminator 2.. Helicopter vs. swat van and Harley Davidson vs. mac truck. Those are on my list as well!

the sound of the 917k chasing down the 512s is haunting...it gives me the chills to hear the engine note change octives w/ each up shift!!!!!

It's a really stupid money, but the scene where Will Smith is racing down a Miami freeway in a 550 is pretty cool. The thing that's really stupid is that when he pulls up to his house, he is in a 575, but the car in the chase scene is a 550. I guess they thought that nobody would notice that.

 

This is close to my list, but I would put Bad Boys 2, Cannon Ball, Gumball Rally in the list. Duel, S&B, BB would be runner-up along w/ Sugarland Express, The Hidden, The Rock, The Seven-up.

 

I have to say my vote is for RONIN. I have always said that was the best. I also like Transporter.

But Ronin is Tops. I am waiting for a group of moves to come in. I may have an update.

 

Someone in another thread said they actually used a 355's engine sound. I haven't seen the movie and don't know either way...

 

Best Car chase-Ronin-I think some ex-F1 drivers drove the cars.

 

Ronin is my favorite movie. I love the s8. It started my love affair with audi. I love the line..."We need like an audi s8, something that really shovels"

Anyone else remember "The Hidden"? Begining of the movie has a black 308 in a chase? It was pretty good!!! I don't remember much other than the driver takes out a bunch of pedestrians and strollers.

 

How about the Motorcycle chase scene in "The Great Escape"...

Ronin gets my vote too..

 

The original "Gone in Sixty Seconds". I just liked the fact that they used the same car for the whole scene, as it was a fairly lower budget film, that they wrecked 130+ cars (guess not so low budget), and the end was the best part..

 

They did.

What's interesting about the Bad Boys 2 chase is that they used the 355's engine sound all the way through, but at the very end, after they talk to the woman in the Denali, they get in and drive off, and you can hear the 575's real exhaust sound (if only for a second). If anyone here has it on DVD, you can check. The difference is very distinct, but it only happens in that one very short scene.

Anywho, another vote for Ronin here.

the Ducati vs Police scene in the matrix reloaded was pretty amusing.

one of the first action movies that i can remember loving was the rock, so the f355 vs H2 probably gets my vote.
