I find that a quadzilla (EVO or STi) makes a good complement to the Ferrari. It's pretty close on performance (so you don't have to regret not taking the F-car), has all weather capability, has four doors and 5pass (or 4 and the dog) capacity -- and has the kind of interior that doesn't have you traumatizing poor little Billy for spilling his Big Gulp on the upholstery. And it's got a pretty big trunk, for a sports car. The only "down side" is that the EVO's brakes have me wanting to make the 328 stop better. (For those who feel the need to throw away gas on a daily commute just in case they need cargo capacity once a year -- They do rent trucks, you know.)
Why spend any time in uninteresting cars? There are many practical cars that are wonderful. We have a Cayenne Turbo. After all most of us drive more miles in that car than in the Ferrari. The new M5 is worth a look too.
I'd say an Audi A8, which is one of the most elegant and impressive sedans on the road, and also a beater 4x4 like a Jeep or a Tahoe because you need something that you don't mind parking anywhere or carrying anything in.
looks like you're looking for a comfortable family car... i suggest a MB S430/500/55 AMG/600 depending on your spending limits, i have experience with all of them (including the pullman 600 AMG) and for a family car i'd say the 55 is your best bet, very powerful yet extremely comfortable and roomy... if you really wanna go in style, the pullman offers a limo-type 600 with 2 rear facing and 2 front facing seats in the cabin, and 2 front seats.... anyways- good luck
A compliment is "Hey, nice Ferrari" Methinks you are looking for a complementary vehicle. I like the BMW SUV.
BMW M5. It is faster than most Ferraris, seats five, looks and sounds great and cost very little to maintain. I have 90k miles on my 2000 M5 and it has been as reliable as any car I have ever owned. I have embarassed a many Ferrari and other so-called sport's car owner with it both on the street and at Road Atlanta .
i'd like to see it keep up with the new generation of ferrari or any ferrari model year 2000+..... maybe the new generation M5 but not the older one.
Audi RS6 Avant has to be the best car to compliment your Ferrari. 450 horses in an wagon, with AWD, effortlessly fast whatever the weather and totally reliable. May not be ultimately as fast as some Ferraris but most drivers with find it easier to drive quickly in normal road conditions. But it does have the thrill of the F car which you can play with at the weekend.
A Diablo Roadster, perhaps ? Not 2+2 but AWD and certainly is capable of getting around in the snow. Heck, the front end lid is low enough you can probably use it as a clear the driveway...
too bad if you got 2 feet of snow on your ground you wouldnt be able to see the car seeing as tho its about 16 inches tall.
The Maserati Quattroporte is the perfect complimentary car for a Ferrari. It looks great and drives like a true sports car. It fits 4 people comfortably too.
Drivers: '99 Toyota 4Runner and '96 Mercury Grand Marquis (police suspension and tire package, big V8, a sleeper!). Why waste $$ on an expensive car for city traffic and all round use, unless you're in a business that demands it. The new Chrysler 300 Hemi is what I would be looking at if in the market for a new luxury car. I pulled up behind a new BMW 5-series sedan last night. Just about any comparable-size Japanese 4-door is better looking.
And if your business is playing the blues: Jake: Cars got a lot of pick up. Elwood: It's got a cop motor of four hundred and forty cubic inch plant, it's got cop tyres, cop suspension, cop shocks, it was a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. Whaddya say? Is it the new Blues Mobile or what? Jake: Fix the cigarette lighter.
Hey everyone this is my first post here. Not a Ferrari owner yet, but working on it. As for the choice of cars, I would seriously consider an STi, 2.5l of turbo charged performance. With very little modifications you can have a AWD 500+ monster (that will out run most cars on the road) that will get you around year round. just my .02 (I am a little bias)
.... you consider that a good family car? hell- that thing is so uncomfortable, no insulation, lightweight everything = no comfort bah, my 2 cents
Get and E-500. Great torque for around town, and a fine highway cruiser as well. 0-60 in 5.7. Image Unavailable, Please Login
