Curious what this out of range color costs to put on the Cali?

Are we sure it's out of range? If so, I think an out of range color is $20k-$30K.

Very striking colour for a Cali but my concern with this colour would be stonechips and the like because to do a good spray job may be rather difficult for most body shops.

Exactly. I had Bianco Fuji on a Maserati and it was a nightmare to repair. Will never get it again.

My opinion is that BF only looks good with dark blue or black interiors. I think it looks horrible with red or burgandy

I assume that applies to all 3 layer paints? My father is thinking of the 3 layer yellow for the 458..

Bianco Fuji is a stunning color, but simply not worth the $20K cost. I'm not sure why Ferrari charges so much for it, given that Aston, for example, only charges $3500 for their tri-coat paints (e.g., morning frost white).

A little off topic- I heard that Monza Red(?) - the metallic red color used in early 599 press/launch cars was a 30K option. Rumor I was told that the paint was done by an independant contractor and not Ferrari.

The chromatic iridescent paint used for the Alfa 8C is also supposedly a very tricky paint to touch up.
Was told that an 8C with a door scratch had the door sprayed several times without having a proper match. The paint shop was considering respraying the entire car!

Maybe these are just exotic urban myths?

I was at Ferrari Beverly Hills and they had an 8C with the door missing. I asked what the deal was and they said that they had it repainted several times due to a scratch and finally had the whole door sent back the factory.

I used to own a Bianco Fuji 430 spider. It arrived with a paint bloom on the bonnet (front trunk) that was around 8" wide by around 4" at it's widest point. It was taken to an approved bodyshop for a warranty repair to correct this defect and it ended up with the front bumper, bonnet, both front wings and both doors being repainted to blend the repair in. The finished job was better than the original factory finish but I shudder to think what it cost.

Monza red is a special option paint. There's a Scuderia on that shade in Korea - looks absolutely incredible.

I was told by my dealer that BF is an 8K option color on a Maser. 23K-25K on a Ferrari. I guess the factory knows which type of buyer is willing to pay more.

Correct. 3 layer yellow is spectacular but not for me as I get a lot of stone chips in China

i think the bianco avis is a better color that is not only cheaper BUT MUCH EASIER TO MAINTAIN!

i can't see why anyone would pay so much for bianco fuji.
