    My grandmother used to volunteer at something similar through the Catholic Ladies League. Part of what she did was help them, the unfortunate (what ever the PC term is now) with financial planning. Most of these people had cell phones, 100+ dollar sneakers, digital cable with sports pass. I am not joking about the last one. All priorities. If you can get substance and assistance for free, might as well spend your money on luxury items.
