    ok i know im behind times but finally got bluray and cant get it to work right

    seems most movies are letter boxed with black bars on top and bottom. batman has some scenes fill up screen in hd but other scenes are not as good as cable hd. playing in 1080p 16:9 and 2.4:1. some movies are 2.35:1 but still not filling screen

    cant find any setting to change so what am i doing wrong?

    its supposed to be that way. the only reason batman fills the whole screen sometimes is it is IMAX, and those cameras are 4:3

    i get it about batman bc i saw it in imax theater and only big action sequences were in full screen but what about other bluray discs?

    isnt 1080p bluray supposed to be ultimate and yet its not as good as cablevision's 720p hd?
