Hi Frank, Com mon, with the windows up and the heat on it stays quite nice with the top off. The nice crisp air, the leaves changing overhead.... Wow I am starting to write like a novelist. I have been enjoying the post on all the recent events. I have been busy lately as my son completed his Boy Scout rank of Eagle. I have been driving my 308 everyday as the weather has been ideal. Driving it so much that it I havn't taken the time to wash it. It is in need of a wash (BAD). Until I wash it I hope you guys do not see it as I will not be invited to anymore events. HA HA.

My A/C does not work... but man, she pours out hot lava for heat! Top off, heat blasting!

Hey... another Eagle Scout... thats great!
I'm an eagle. People always seem interested in that, no matter how old you are.
I was asked about my eagle project during my interviews for both medical school (age 25) and residency (age 29)

Hey Farmers, tell your son Congrats on acheiving Eagle. Being an Eagle had a lot to do with me getting my last two jobs. It really looks good on a resume. Congrats again!

LOL about putting the top back on. No,this was at 8:00AM. It was Freezing ! But,throughout the day,as the temp.went up,the top came back off. I keep it off for a long time before I put it back on. Windows up,and heat blasting,as you guys said. But,I was following my Wife to drop off her PT Cruiser at the Dealer for some Work, and neither off us wanted Cold heads on the drive home...:)

My Gramps and an Uncle made it to Eagle. Also,"Order of the Arrow". I just made it to 'Life Scout",when I had to quit Scouting and work more.(Long story....) But,my Lil' Frankie just turned 7,and I'm getting him into Cub Scouts,so maybe he can make Eagle.

I'd rather have to fight 45 degree nights for a couple of months than have to worry about a hurricane tearing through my entire state or an earthquake playing with my garage like it was made of Jenga blocks. I've posted in other sections before but I really hope our Florida Fchat members are all safe during these latest attacks from Mother Nature. Cars can always be repaired and those who drive Ferraris know they like the attention from the shop almost as much as they do throwing beautiful sounds on country backroads. People being worked on never seems the same despite the repairs. I know this to be 100% true because if it wasn't Skip and Frank would have torn up the Buffalo Grove go-kart track.

Frank, if you're getting cold I think you're actually living up to all those promises to watch what you eat now. But based on this topic and your latest visit to a diner on Route 66, just faten yourself up with some more food and the cold won't bother you as much. As soon as you want to take a convertible out for a spin in this 50 degree heatwave, let me know and will run out to Portillos or SuperDawg to prepare for the cold winds.

No,I didn't/couldn't drive the Go Karts because I had Broken my neck in 2 places in a car accident, back in '85. And,another near Fatal Rear End collision back in '01. Thats enough for me...:) And,now every single vertebrae in my neck, there are 7,are "Fused". (along with my L5-S1 Vertebrae) So,Doc said that Go Karts are a "No-No"....:(

Yes,I have actually been losing some poundage-finally. But,you still gotta Eat. I had some nice,White Meat Chicken. Some Green Beans. And,a small potion of Garlic Mashed Potatoes at Del Rhea's. Home Cooked. Good Eatin'. Sorry...No more Fast Food Crap for me.....Better sell your Portillo's stock...NOW!!! :)

You haven't lived till you've been snowed on in a convertible. It's a surreal experience.

    Chuck,
When I was 16, I used to ride a motorcycle through the Chicago winter, it used to get real cold back then, talk about living. If you really want to have some fun, try getting a bike through 2 feet of snow!

    I didn't have a choice, didn't have a car then.

    Regards,
    Bill

This is the best time of year around here. Last weekend I drove by a wedding and I realized that if I ever plan a weather-sensitive event, I'll do it in September. Think about how many people plan June or July weddings. Now, how often is the weather in those months agreeable? It's either friggin hot and humid, or else it's raining balls outside. Plus, that little chill in the air is agreeable to our cars...

Bill...LOL! When I lived in the City,(The Second time, when I was in my Early 20's,-early 1980's,that is...:) ) I rode my Motorcycle in the Winter, too, occasionally. But,only Cold Weather...never had the Snow Experience... I would wear a full Cold Weather Jumpsuit, and on my way...Steam flying out the pipes...People looked at me like I was insane...Good thing I was a heavy Drinker and Partyer back then...otherwise,I might have actually realized what the hell I was doing one day....:) And,froze my cahoonies off!

I used to like to go Ice Fishing, too, when I was younger. But,now, between the Arthritis, and all of the assorted metal Implants that I have all throughout my Bod. Cannot handle Cold Weather anymore. In a few years,I'm "Snow Birding" it out to Phoenix,AZ. full time.....:)

But,I agree. This is my Favorite time of Year, too. Late Summer/Early Fall. Sept./Oct. Still nice weather, but you get that crisp, clean cool air that the car Loves, too.
