For a long while I have used A&H Baking Soda on a wet sponge, on a wet car, to remove bug splatter and road gunk. It's a very mild abrasive, you can brush your teeth with it, although it tastes terrible, you can wash clothes in it, and women can use it for...well, never mind that one. My point is that it has had no detrimental affects on the cars I've used it on, and it works really well with minimal elbow grease. Specialty products for this purpose seem rather severe, 'Tarminator'. Wondering what others use on their F-cars? Thanks.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer. It's fantastic. Use with micro fiber cloth. Very quick and very effective.

For removing anything gooey like bugs or tar I have found that WD40 works well.
